This blog is my place to vent and share resources with other parents of children of trauma. I try to be open and honest about my feelings in order to help others know they are not alone. Therapeutic parenting of adopted teenagers with RAD and other severe mental illnesses and issues (plus "neurotypical" teens) , is not easy, and there are time when I say what I feel... at the moment. We're all human!

Hello, my name is

Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

I told Ponito about this photo I'd found, and yesterday he came home from vacation bible school wearing a name tag with this written on it.

I love my kids!

(This is a quote from the must-see movie, Princess Bride for those of you who are not classic movie buffs).

Love it! The movie is out on DVD this year for about 10 bucks, or you might be able to get it from the library. That's what I do with movies I want but can't afford to buy, I request and reserve them from the library.

Ummmm, how'd that go over at vacation bible school? Hope they were all fans of the Princess Bride too...I wouldn't have had a clue. At first I was thinking it was a photo that popped up on google image or something and thought there was a real Inigo Montoya but I don't get out much. heehee

He He! Yes, we own the movie. It came out in 1987 so I'm sure only a few of the adult staff (female!) knew what the heck it meant.

The image on this post is from Google Image. I'd seen it while looking for something else and told Ponito about it. His 11 yr old's handwriting was nowhere near that legible. As for how well it went over... well no one called me to pick him up so I guess it was OK. He probably just explained it to any of his friends who asked.

Love it! I watched that movie so many times as a teen I lost count. That's a funny kid you have there!
