This blog is my place to vent and share resources with other parents of children of trauma. I try to be open and honest about my feelings in order to help others know they are not alone. Therapeutic parenting of adopted teenagers with RAD and other severe mental illnesses and issues (plus "neurotypical" teens) , is not easy, and there are time when I say what I feel... at the moment. We're all human!

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to Me

Happy Easter to y'all!

Today is also my birthday! I am now officially 40.

My "biggest" birthday present was that I discovered that I've been reading the scale wrong (can't see too well first thing in the morning). I've actually lost 20lbs since I started on this diet two months ago! So I'm pigging out today. That makes sense right?!

Anywaaay... only 50lbs to go!
Edited to add: Umm not sure what happened, but I'm back where I thought I was. *sigh* Either I gained 10lbs since yesterday (I didn't think I ate that much!), someone messed with the scale, or it was God's idea of a birthday present). Oh well.

Scale trick was probably a one day set-back due to eating more salt than usual on your birthday/Easter. Get back to the diet today and you'll have it under control in no time. Plus, I wish I looked as "bad" as you do, you gorgeous thing!

Happy Birthday.
